BAM Community

Our international community of scholars and practitioners is large, diverse and vibrant. With 24 Special Interest Groups, our 3 Networks and 30 Tracks at our annual Conference, there is a way for every member to become involved right at the heart of what we do.

By volunteering their time and energy – for example through reviewing, events and committees - our members contribute directly to the value of our scholarly community and receive opportunities for personal growth and development.

All members can join up to 3 Special Interest Groups of their choice plus any and all of the Networks

Furthering shared academic interests:

BAM seeks to support members who wish to develop communities to further their shared academic interests. BAM recognizes three forms of organization: Tracks; Networks and Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Tracks are groups of people who only wish to discuss their shared academic interests at the annual conference. Networks are groups of people who wish to discuss their shared academic interests at the annual conference and occasionally outside the annual conference. SIGs are groups of people that wish to discuss their shared academic interests at the annual conference and on a regular basis outside of the annual conference.

In order to create a new Special Interest Group or Network, the first step is to run a Track at the BAM’s Annual Conference. Please contact our Conference Officer Lewis Johnson [email protected]
